The NOC Planetarium will open on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for the general public. Admission is free (but a donation of a can good or non-perishable food item for the Horn of Plenty would be appreciated). Learn what constellations are visible and about the stars and deep sky objects that are a part of them. The Fall or autumn equinox begins on the 23rd at 4:06 pm CDT, when the Sun, appearing to travel along the ecliptic, reaches the point where it crosses the equator into the southern celestial hemisphere.
Leonardo’s Star Quest Astronomy Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at the Northern Oklahoma College Astronomy Center at 9:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Every Wednesday and Thursday evening, weather permitting, the NOC observatory will be opeon for the general public. Sessions start at 9:30 pm.
